So, I have nothing better to do than to start blogging again. Don't get your hopes up, though, because this isn't going to be entertaining to anyone, not even myself.
Today, I'll discuss yesterday's MLB All-Star game.
The AL won. Again. I would be happy about this, but the A's have no shot of benefiting from this at all, so... meh. I was shocked (read: not in the least bit surprised) that the A's one representative, rookie closer Andrew Bailey, did not get into the game and in fact was barely even mentioned. This was especially clear when the AL took a one run lead in the 8th inning, and when going over the pitchers the AL had left in the bullpen, the announcers stopped with Joe Nathan and Mariano Rivera. Now, I, along with every other baseball fan, know that those are the two pitchers that are slated to come in for the last two innings, but you could at least acknowledge that other pitchers, other closers, exist.
Anyway, stay tuned for more boring discussions of subjects such as The Wire, Gore Vidal, and daytime television. Pat is crazy.
